Stage 24: Oppenhausen-Udenhausen-Boppard

The first part of the stage runs parallel to the "Hasenkammer" dream loop. We experience a rural idyll around the village of Herschwiesen, with agricultural land, orchards, and some beautiful views.

We then traverse the densely wooded Brodenbach Valley on long descents and ascents. The trail then leads across a plateau through agricultural land to Udenhausen, where we cross the A61 motorway at the end of the village. We climb the Horstkopf, which offers expansive views of the Eifel and Hunsrück. The trail continues through diverse forests towards the Middle Rhine Valley. The last 3 km parallel to the "Middle Rhine Via Ferrata" dream loop.

Two restaurants with magnificent views of the UNESCO World Heritage Upper Middle Rhine Valley and the Great Rhine Bend are located directly along the trail. Afterwards, we descend to Boppard, which offers breathtaking views. The final section can also be reached by taking the chairlift running parallel to the trail.

Boppard, with its numerous attractions, invites you to spend another night. From Boppard train station, there are good train and bus connections for the outward and return journeys.
