Boppard provides the perfect stage for 12 months of offerings and entertainment, whether it's open-air concerts, theater, or concerts in beautiful church halls, rooms, and event spaces. The seasons create an atmospheric backdrop, and each month tempts with its own festival in the city. These are accompanied by the best wines and regional dishes that the Middle Rhine Valley has to offer. Boppard is especially known for its wine, as the city is located in one of the largest wine-growing areas, the Bopparder Hamm. Here, Riesling grows on steep slopes above the great Rhine bend. During the highlight of the wine year, the Mittelrhein Wine Festival Boppard, the city fills up with visitors from all over the world.

Enchanted by the unique atmosphere of the historic marketplace, framed by old half-timbered houses and St. Severus Church, the award-winning Bopparder Hamm Rieslings can be excellently enjoyed. Everything is perfect here: the romantic backdrop, the many wine tasting stands, regional cuisine, live bands, traditional music ensembles, and a lively atmosphere, including fireworks every Saturday or the exuberant festive parade. Guided hike to the Riesling brunch at the Mandelstein hut

Dates: Saturday 27.09. & 04.10.2025

Hikers can look forward to our magnificent landscape, Bopparder wine, and regional delicacies on both wine festival Saturdays. Pure enjoyment rewards the ascent from the center of Boppard up to the Mandelstein hut. In addition to a phenomenal view, our guests will be offered wines from two Bopparder Hamm winemakers, regional specialties, and plenty of background knowledge about wine, viticulture, and the landscape. Meeting point in front of the Old Town Hall at the Market Square.

From there, after a welcome wine with our hiking guide, the trail goes through the Rheinallee into the Bopparder Hamm. The hiking guide returns to Boppard around 1:30 PM; those who prefer a later return can hike back individually or take the bus back to Boppard from the Peternach stop on the B9. Overnight guests can travel for free with their guest card.

Guided hike to the Mandelsteinhütte

Dates: Saturday, September 27 & October 4, 2025

On both wine festival Saturdays, the wine hike to the Mandelsteinhütte in Bopparder Hamm starts. Meeting point is in front of the Old Town Hall at the marketplace. From there, after a welcome wine with our hiking guide, we walk through the Rheinallee into the Bopparder Hamm. At the Mandelsteinhütte, the hiker is greeted with a 5-wine tasting, cheese snacks, and bread with spreads. Mineral water will also be served. The hiking guide will return to Boppard around 4:30 PM; those preferring a later return can walk back individually or take the bus back to Boppard from the Peternach stop on the B9. Overnight guests travel free with their guest card.
